As a Housing Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for our residents, responsible for managing a portfolio of properties and ensuring that tenancies are sustained in a positive and supportive manner.
You will work closely with residents to address their needs, resolve issues, and maintain the overall wellbeing of our communities.
Key Responsibilities
Tenancy Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring all tenancies are compliant with legal requirements and internal policies.
The Housing Officer will be a visible presence in your patch, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of tenancies.
Sellick partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of an Housing officer to join a reputable social housing organisation based in Sunderland.
This involves working closely with the allocations and letting team to onboard new tenants, working with customers to set up payment plans if they fall into arrears, managing anti-social behaviour and resolving customer complaints effectively.
To provide comprehensive housing advice and information to households in housing need in order to ensure their housing needs are met via the appropriate intervention.
To deliver an efficient and professional allocations service, ensuring the council's Housing Register, allocation of accommodation within the council's own stock and nominations to partner registered provider vacancies are administered in accordance with the Council's Housing Allocation Scheme (policy), service procedures, national code of guidance and housing legislation (Part 6 of the Housing Act).
The Candidate
Ability to interview applicants skilfully and sensitively to elicit as much information as possible, give the appropriate advice and make informed decisions.
The client is supporting individuals and families who have experienced domestic abuse and offers service users the opportunity to move on and live fulfilled, safe lives following the trauma they've experienced.

About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Environmental Health Officer with a solid background in the housing sector to join our dedicated team.
This role focuses on maintaining and improving residential housing standards by managing a varied caseload, including complaints related to damp, mould, overcrowding, and more.
We are looking for a self motivated and enthusiastic individual to be an integral part of our busy Housing Solutions team.
You will be responsible for interviewing and advising clients at risk of homelessness or in housing need so wherever possible homelessness is prevented and the Council can effectively discharge its duty in accordance with the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
You will also carry out full assessment of clients housing and support needs to complete online Common Housing Register applications.
