Business Development Manager -What will I be doing? You will be researching, finding, pursuing and executing new business in the local area and in the oil and gas industry When it comes to bringing on new clients you will ensure setups comply with ISO standards and coordinate with departments. You will resolve issues and mediate between clients and departments. You will report progress - provide weekly updates to the Managing Director. You will also develop marketing materials and assist with marketing strategies. You will represent the company by attending industry events to promote services. Business Development Manager - What experience do I need? It is essential that you have worked in Corporate Travel bringing in new business previously or worked in Account Management in Corporate travel. You will be responsible for the formulation and implementation of delivery strategies for major projects within the portfolio. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of the projects from inception through to completion, including the strategic elements, budgets, and overall success of the projects. Business Development Manager (Manchester area) required by a leading UK wide office resources management company. The role of the Business Development Manager will be to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. They must develop a rapport with new clients and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. You will work with senior level management, marketing, and sales staff. You will oversee the activities of others responsible for developing business for the company. Your responsibility will be to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This will require a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide and of the company's competitors. You will be given an annual sales target and your pipeline will be reviewed every month. Participate in pricing the solution/service. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately. Attend industry events/exhibitions and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends. Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to business development. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services that will lead to an increase in sales. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators. Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate. Weekly sales meetings and produce data and results of new business conversion Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM system. Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets. Work with bid writers to ensure bids are made (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner. Customer intelligence feeding Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company's people and capabilities.
