Business Development Manager

Our client is looking for a driven BDM to join their company. If you are a dynamic, results-driven professional with a passion for maximising business and providing customer satisfaction then this could be the role for you. This role offers a competitive base salary with commission and car allowance.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Convert New Business Opportunities: Proactively seek out, target, and secure new business ventures.
  • Generate Customer Meetings: Strategically plan and execute meetings with potential and existing clients to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Schedule Targeted Meetings: Create and maintain a calendar of confirmed future meetings with targeted accounts.
  • Deliver Exceptional Account Management: Provide top-tier service to new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Achieve and Exceed Sales Targets: Drive sales and consistently meet or surpass targets.
  • Build Strong Client Relationships: Foster long-term relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Maintain a Prospective Client Pipeline: Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients, ensuring a steady flow of new business.
  • Resolve Customer Concerns: Act as the direct interface with clients to address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure Smooth Business Implementation: Oversee the seamless implementation of new business contracts up to the delivery of services.
  • Promote Company at Awareness Days: Attend customer site events to promote the company and provide advice regarding services.
  • Deliver Engaging Presentations: Create and deliver detailed presentations to both new and existing accounts on our waste services.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Business Development and Sales Expertise: Strong background in business development and sales, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Drive and Enthusiasm: Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of understanding and responding to client needs.
  • Negotiation and Closing Skills: Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a strategic approach to sales.
  • Presentation Skills: Strong ability to create and deliver engaging presentations.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Constructive and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Professional and Approachable: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • IT Literate: Proficient with technology and able to leverage it to enhance productivity.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, plan effectively, and prioritise workloads.
  • Customer Focused: Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
