About the Role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide crucial support in managing all cost, commercial, and quantity surveying aspects of designated projects.
The primary responsibility will be to undertake on-site measured surveys of mainly Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian traditional heritage street properties in order to produce accurate, annotated scaled AutoCAD drawings, elevations, floorplans and sections - as existing and as proposed - required to accompany full plans planning applications and Listed Building Consent applications.
Project Manager / CAD Technician will work on Capital and Cyclical maintenance projects on housing stock owned by Islington Council, initially mainly within the street properties refurbishment and improvement programme.
This is in association with an ongoing rolling programme of mainly window replacements.
Assist with Planning and scheduling work supporting the wider team in delivering small sized projects and work packages as part of the wider B300 programme.
Provides technical support to the the wider team which includes but is not limited to:
JOB PURPOSE
To provide a range of technical and practical project support to the UNS Project & Construction Team, including but not limited to assistance to the Construction Site Team and their day to day deliverables, ensuring the construction site and working area is kept in a secure and safe condition, escort duties, control of transport, assistance to the Clerks of Works in respect of quality records & checking, administrative support , rollout and maintenance of the construction team's Obeya Centres and other activities undertaken by the department.
A well-established main contractor urgently requires Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyors to work on their recently secured leisure, life sciences, logistics, and commercial office projects.
These projects are situated around Central and Outer London with values ranging from £25m to £100m.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Surveyor to join our team.
This role involves providing a comprehensive professional surveying and technical service to diagnose, specify, design, and facilitate a wide range of building repair works and adaptations.
You will ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory and local legislation and meets all departmental key performance requirements.
Provide professional surveying services and project management, particularly those involving structural, dimensional and topographical surveys and design solutions, to the City Council's stock of dwellings, buildings and land managed by Landlord Services.

As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Project manager ensuring their successful implementation.
