Are you an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our dynamic team working on high-profile projects from inception to completion.

About the Role:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide crucial support in managing all cost, commercial, and quantity surveying aspects of designated projects. You will assist in delivering projects on budget and in full accordance with our service procedures. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction and property who is eager to develop their career in quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of detailed project commercial reports.
  • Identify and manage project-related risks and issues.
  • Support the Principal Quantity Surveyor in managing relationships with key partners and suppliers.
  • Ensure projects comply with procurement requirements and service procedures.
  • Contribute to the implementation of professional quantity surveying practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain high standards of service delivery, ensuring value for money.

Corporate Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively to deliver and manage services across the organization.
  • Provide advice on policy matters related to service areas and managed projects.
  • Exhibit leadership by setting a positive example for the project team.

Service Delivery and Accountability:

  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services to residents and businesses.
  • Take ownership of designated projects, managing day-to-day operations and reporting.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives and maintain professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Working towards MRICS or MCIOB or equivalent.
  • Construction/Property related degree or extensive relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on a variety of projects.
  • Knowledge of professional Quantity Surveying practices and relevant legislation.
  • Strong skills in project cost management, procurement, and reporting.
