This post is within the Health Equity and Clinical Governance Directorate and will support the four divisions - Health Equity & Inclusion Health, Clinical Governance & Medical Revalidation, Nursing & Allied Health Professionals and Public Health Clinical Response - to deliver their programmatic work.
The post requires significant organisational skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
The postholder needs to be experienced in mechanical and electrical works, delivering both service schedules and reactive works across a broad spectrum to include lifts, door entry systems, alarm call systems, fire safety equipment, water testing, gas energy systems and appliances, communal heating & hot water systems and alternative green renewable energy solutions such as ground and air source heat pumps, solar panels.
The role will primarily be responsible for the proper and efficient maintenance of the installations, plant and equipment across the housing stock.
This is a key role in terms of delivering services in compliance with health and safety requirements and is wide ranging and complex-covering planned maintenance, inspection and installation of equipment and services.
Purpose of Job: To provide technical professional enforcement services with the overall aim of protecting and improving the health, safety and welfare of every resident, worker and visitor within the Borough.

To liaise extensively with a wide range of internal departments, regulatory organisations, and council partners to deliver high quality CCTV services which contribute positively to public protection in Barnet.
