M&E Maintenance Contracts Manager

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (36hrs per week)

Pay: £400 per day paid weekly via umbrella

Duration: Ongoing Contract - Long Term

Duties

The role will primarily be responsible for the proper and efficient maintenance of the installations, plant and equipment across the housing stock. This is a key role in terms of delivering services in compliance with health and safety requirements and is wide ranging and complex-covering planned maintenance, inspection and installation of equipment and services. The postholder needs to be experienced in mechanical and electrical works, delivering both service schedules and reactive works across a broad spectrum to include lifts, door entry systems, alarm call systems, fire safety equipment, water testing, gas energy systems and appliances, communal heating & hot water systems and alternative green renewable energy solutions such as ground and air source heat pumps, solar panels.

To act as project manager for cyclical maintenance and other improvement projects as assigned, providing a professional and efficient service, ensuring that works are carried out within the agreed constraints of time, budget, quality and performance and in compliance with statutory legislation, building regulations, health and safety policies and financial regulations. This is a key compliance role and the surveyor will need to have current knowledge of statutory legislation, building regulations, health and safety legislation, guidance and best practice and policies and financial regulations.

Role will take the lead on overall compliance in line with H&S legislation covering- fire systems, lifts, electrical testing, water hygiene and green energy renewables.

To take budgetary control for a complex and diverse range of capital projects and ongoing cyclical programmes totalling over £2M pa. (900k cyclical, 200k water projects, 200k electrical projects, fire safety, additional major work projects) The post holder may be required to take on other asset management projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Knowledge of the issues involved in providing technical client advice for planned maintenance relating to mechanical, electric and gas services

Experience using M&E software applications and database's e.g. C365, Civica CX, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Office/Outlook- for managing work streams/record management and compliance.

Must hold full UK drivers license

Candidate should come from a hard services/trade background with a formal qualification in this (city & guilds/NVQ/Degree etc...)
