PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To be responsible for the processing of Development Management matters within an area based or function based team including responsibility for the handling of pre-application advice, planning applications, appeals and enforcement including negotiations with developers and other interested parties, securing financial and other community benefits through legal agreements.
Planning Officers with experience dealing with a range of applications from householder to minor applications and to assist in processing backlog applications
Planner (BEXLEY 12)
Planner will be expected to work and use their own initiative with little direct supervision and support their Team Leader as required.
We are working with a local authority who are looking for a Principal Planning Officer to join the Development Management Service team.
Responsible for a range of complex planning casework to deliver strategic outcomes for the Council, and to be accountable for negotiating on proposals to deliver high quality development in accordance with national guidance, planning law and adopted local plans/other guidance.
