We are looking for an Administrator to work as part of the Highways, Transport and Planning team based in County Hall in Chichester.
Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm.
This is a contract running from end of August until March 2025.
Duties will include:
- Deliver timely and efficient specialist administrative support to a team or across teams with an awareness of team requirements and priorities.
- Communicate with and develop good working relationships with relevant managers and colleagues in order to deliver an effective service.
- Manage incoming email boxes and update websites.
- Produce complex, accurate, factually and grammatically correct documentation, correspondance and reports.
- Organise events and meetings, ensuring reports are completed and provided.
- Update and maintain relevant computerised and manual records relating to the team.
- Follow procedures and processes in order to respond independantly to day-to-day telephone, email and written queries including using initiative to resolve unexpected problems where necessary.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- 5 GSCE's or equivalent experience including English and Maths.
- Strong administration skills and be confident dealing with problems and developing situations.
- Excellent communication skills for answering telephone, email and face to face queries effectively.
- Good numeracy skills in order to work with figures and data to make sound and accurate financial calculations and data collection.
- Excellent IT skills enabling effective daily use of office applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
- Able to concentrate for long periods of time and maintain a focus on attention to detail in order to produce meaningful and accurate outputs.
