The Role: Working as part of the team you will be dealing with customs import and export matters. In this role you'll be supporting and communicating with internal stakeholders, mostly by email, sometimes over the phone as well. Shipment communications come into the general inbox and you will be dealing with these internally and also communicating with couriers by email as well. Responsibilities: Take charge independently in a fast-paced environment, serving as the primary contact for customs import and export affairs Handle import and export customs clearance declarations utilizing in-house customs IT solution. Foster effective communication and collaboration among internal departments, customs brokers, and freight forwarders. Ensure timely submission of all required documents to customs brokers, including clearance instructions. Vigilantly monitor import and export processes to ensure compliance with approved brokers for customs clearances. Proactively address inquiries related to customs clearance, facilitating swift movement of goods. Conduct meticulous checks on import and export declarations to guarantee accuracy and compliance with clearance directives. Maintain meticulous records, adhering to HMRC record-keeping standards for import and export documentation. In this role you will operate low pressure presses, along with maintaining and monitoring the wet screening process. This role will involve a lot of manual handling along with the requirement to keep the plant and equipment clean and tidy, along with he need to be flexible and work on different sections of the plant, if the need arises. Full training will be provided, ensuring that you are operating equipment safely.
