Day-to-Day Duties

Manage the pre-void and lettings function (checking in, and checking out process) promoting the organisation's Housing Management brand and create the best experience to new and prospective customers.
The successful candidate will provide visible, accessible housing management services on the ground to customers renting homes, garages or travelers sites, owner occupiers and shared owners in the borough.

Acting as a specialist point of contact for teams, dealing and responding effectively with queries from stakeholders and passing on relevant information to appropriate team members.
Provide timely management accounting information on lead areas providing variance analysis and year end forecasting with specific narrative where applicable in analysing and interpreting risks to financial balance, including budget development and planning.
Operational responsibility for all property related safety compliance within the Housing Directorate, addressing areas of non-compliance.

The Role
Responsible for ensuring duties are carried out by the team in accordance with current Legislation, Government Policy, Regulatory Requirements, approved Codes of Practice, and guidance, and align with the Council's Corporate Plan, Business Plans and Service Plans.
To provide a customer focused housing options and advice service, preventing and relieving homelessness wherever possible as a priority in line with Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 legislation.
