The Category Manager for Healthcare, reporting to the Senior Category Manager, supports the function by providing direction on Boots Ireland annual commercial plan and delivering on its key objectives.Managing a team of Category Assistants and working with the support of Category teams across Ireland and the UK and cross functionally with Marketing, Operations and Stores teams, the role steers the Boots Ireland business on new products and promotions to maximise profit and meet the needs of our growing customer base.ABOUT THE ROLEApplying a customer led focus to develop an in-depth customer behaviour understanding of their area and be aware of cross category connections that could assist or impact the business, the Category Manager will;Negotiate with Suppliers to agree an annual plan and secure the best deals & outcomes for the business.
Maintain relationships with other functions such as Supply, Merchandising, Boots brand team, Marketing and Operations, operating as a Leader in virtual teams with a " one team" mind set.Review category performance against KPIs and report as required.
Lead on the delivery of the supplier plans to sustain and develop business performance, conducting all external relationships with a high degree of professionalism and efficiency.Develop and deliver the product area plans through analysis of market trends, customers, competitors and internal performance to feed into the category management process (CRP)/range review.Be accountable for process compliance and accuracy of processes across key commercial processes.
