My client is looking for a dedicated and organised PA to join their team at a renowned school in Cambridge. This is a term-time only position, offering a fantastic work-life balance. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm (office-based) Salary: Full-time equivalent: £35,000 Pro rata: £29,380 Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior staff. Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments. Handle correspondence, prepare documents, and manage files. Assist in organising school events and functions. Liaise with parents, students, and staff, ensuring excellent communication. Perform any other duties as required to support the smooth running of the school. Requirements: Demonstrable experience as a Personal Assistant, ideally within an educational setting (though this is not essential). Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Working Term Time ( 3 weeks) you will effectively and pro-actively manage the Bursars diary (confirm, cancel, rearrange meetings and appointments as appropriate) and assist the Bursar in organising and prioritising their administrative workload You will screen and field all telephone calls, respond to emails and all visitors as required, in an appropriate professional but empathetic manner You will produce all correspondence from the Bursar as directed to a high and accurate specification with meticulous attention to detail (reports, Governor Papers, organisational charts, meeting notes, minutes, letters, emails) It is essential that you have experience and are able to organise and manage arrangements for meetings, including venues, equipment, and ordering refreshments, prepare all necessary documentation and reports for such meetings and create presentations and ensure all equipment is in place in time Other responsibilities include: Liaising with the school insurers and staff PAYG mobile phone contracts Purchase vehicle tax for all school vehicles Attend and take minutes of meetings as required and prepare them for distribution Organise for all pupils and staff to have flu vaccinations Various other administrative tasks for the SMT Experience providing administrative support at senior management level in a complex environment is essential, preferably within education.
