We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a well-established Client based in Port Talbot The main purpose of the role is to support the Warehouse Manager by ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met. You will be responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team by ensuring Health, Safety and environmental requirements are adhered to. Duties Support the Warehouse Manager by strategical manage the warehouse in compliance with Company Policies and vision. Support with the receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization. Manage stock control and reconcile with date storage data. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security. Support the Warehouse Manager with rotas and assigning tasks. Set and Produce KPI reports for the Warehouse Manager. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements. Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times. Act up in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. Manage, coach and develop a high performing Warehouse team. Liaise and communicate with other departments Ideal candidate will have Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to be flexible and reprioritise work as needed. Ability and Confidence in using a range of IT software including regular use of Microsoft packages Be Capable of working alone whilst also being an affective team player. Ability to write clear and Concise evidence-based reports Ability to lead and manage a team Working hours: contracted to 48 hours per week. Monday - Thursday , 6:00am to 18:00pm. To manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse; organising staff, prioritising tasks and driving out costs arising from errors and damage. To implement productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the best experience for our customers whilst maintaining a high level of efficiency for the business. Key Responsibilities Effectively and efficiently manage the warehouse labour force to ensure all activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ensure receipt and despatch of all goods is accurately carried out and recorded. Coach and develop employees to 'buy in' to a culture of high quality. Determine staffing levels and manage resources against workload. Ensure added value work and grade requests are carried out in line with customer requirements. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and presented promptly to the warehouse office. Identify areas of improvement and work proactively with management to achieve. Work with other departments to achieve the common goal of serving our customers in the best way possible. Ensure the safety of staff and work with management to continually improve. Ensure equipment is maintained and kept in good working order and ensure breakdowns and failures are escalated promptly. Requirements and skills Recent, relevant experience in a similar role and environment. Good man-management skills and techniques. Knowledge of warehouse management systems and stock control processes. PC skills to facilitate, maintaining of records and data retrieval. Can-do attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to direct staff and ensure tasks are carried out. Good organisational and time management skills.
