To support the delivery of quality repairs to ensure decent and suitable housing working as part of a team carrying out a large range of Multi-skilling works associated, but not limited, to maintenance works to all types of LBI managed properties and social spaces, as scheduled or directed by supervisor.
Completed apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ qualification or demonstrable trade experience.
General
To carry out building repairs, maintenance and renewals ranging from emergency and other routine reactive repairs on numerous sites daily to single site programmed repairs and refurbishment work in occupied and void housing properties and other premises in accordance with best trade practice and to current standards and regulations.
To carry out works to a consistently high standard of quality and customer satisfaction and complete works 'Right First Time'
The role will involve undertaking both mechanical and electrical works as necessary.
The main duties of this role are to carry out day to day repairs, improvements, programmed and reactive maintenance as directed by the M&E Service Manager, ensuring a high level of productivity and working within timescales and to targets.
All works are to be carried out in accordance with legislative requirements, council policies and procedures and industry best practice as appropriate.
Project Manager / CAD Technician will work on Capital and Cyclical maintenance projects on housing stock owned by Islington Council, initially mainly within the street properties refurbishment and improvement programme.
This is in association with an ongoing rolling programme of mainly window replacements.
The primary responsibility will be to undertake on-site measured surveys of mainly Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian traditional heritage street properties in order to produce accurate, annotated scaled AutoCAD drawings, elevations, floorplans and sections - as existing and as proposed - required to accompany full plans planning applications and Listed Building Consent applications.
