To carry out building repairs, maintenance and renewals ranging from emergency and other routine reactive repairs on numerous sites daily to single site programmed repairs and refurbishment work in occupied and void housing properties and other premises in accordance with best trade practice and to current standards and regulations.
To carry out works to a consistently high standard of quality and customer satisfaction and complete works 'Right First Time'
Essential:
- Completed apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ qualification or demonstrable trade experience.
- Electrical roles will require an electrical qualification to the current edition of the IEE regulations and preferably City & Guilds 2391.
- Hold a current and valid driving licence.
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge, understanding and commitment to the principles of Health & Safety at Work
- Knowledge and understanding of building defects relevant to trade and the diagnosis / identification of effective repair solutions
- Knowledge and understanding of the sequencing of building maintenance work
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the Council's equal opportunities policy as it relates to the nature of the post
