Purpose of the role
To provide direct care to children by engaging them in stimulating and meaningful learning activities and encouraging them to express their wishes and feelings and make their own choices as much as possible.
To support children, attend all their appointments, engage in activities to help them learn English and feel happy and safe.
Based in Dover in Kent, and overseeing a number of sheltered schemes in local areas such as Deal, Capel-le-Ferne and Sandwich, this is a full time role (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and the successful candidate will be expected to deliver an on-site housing management and support service that meets the needs of tenants.
You will also need to ensure a high quality management service to elderly tenants, ensuring maintenance, security, and communal safety are optimised at all times.

Connect2Kent are looking for experienced Centre Managers for an exciting opportunity to ensure the safe and secure running on a new Children's Centre based in Dartford, Kent.
Manage a caseload of disabled children or young people aged 0-25 to assess, plan, monitor and review the support/personal assistance needs of service users, working in a person-centred way.
Work with the service user and their families/carers to develop a package of support/assistance as they prepare to become adults and in their early adult life that promotes and maintains independence and wellbeing; where appropriate involve other agencies and use community resources to provide equality of opportunity, full participation and inclusion in society.
Main duties and responsibilities
Manage a complex and diverse caseload of children, young people and their families, undertaking assessments to determine the needs and capabilities of clients and carers, and drawing up plans of support under the supervision and guidance of a designated supervisor, using agreed eligibility criteria and in accordance with statutory requirements, Directorate and Corporate Policy and National Legislation.
