talentED are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Business Manager/Finance Manager to join a dynamic finance and school team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the school's financial and administrative functions, ensuring the smooth operation of the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the budgeting and financial management of the school, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on financial performance
- Manage a several million pound turnover budget, ensuring efficiency and value for money
- Lead and support the finance team in day-to-day operations, providing guidance and direction
- Work closely with various departments within the school, overseeing their financial needs and providing support as needed
- Serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to strategic decision-making and planning
- Utilize your experience in the education or similar sector to bring best practices and innovative solutions to the school's operations
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a School Business Manager role or similar position
- Strong background in budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Proven track record of managing budgets of several million pounds
- Experience managing multiple departments and staff members with a number of direct reports
- Knowledge of the education sector and understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the industry
