As a Senior Project Controller you will be the Technical Lead for the team, responsible for the project creation process and delivery route allocation for new projects. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role. Key accountabilities Responsible for delivery of baseline and project creation processes. Lead the process of setting the Performance Management Baseline (PMB) for new projects, coordinating with Finance, Investment Planning, Functional Leads across PMO, and Engineering to ensure all aspects of the PMB (scope, schedule, budget, and risk) are aligned with the project Structures e.g. WBS / CBS Lead and manage a small team of Project Controllers. Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams (including senior management), to ensure continuous improvement activity is undertaken. Foster strategic partnerships with key discipline leads in risk, planning, and controls to enhance collaboration and streamline processes. Work with the Baseline and Change Lead on defining the process and KPIs for monitoring performance against the PMB. Skills & experience To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria: Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Substantial experience in Project Controls / Programme Delivery. Comprehensive understanding of baseline creation and control techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective relationship management across all organisational levels and functions. Expertise in systems for baseline build and change management, including Primavera P6. Proven track record of implementing system and process enhancements to boost technical capability. Great financial awareness to organising and analyse large data sets. In-depth knowledge of integrated project reporting. Meticulous attention to detail with a capacity for thorough analysis and investigation. MAPM or formal PM/ Project controls qualification. Implement systems for early warning of emerging risks or issues. Develop and maintain a schedule of interfaces and dependencies; ensure that responsibilities for the management of interfaces are clearly assigned and understood. Ensure the application of the change management process throughout all tiers of the project.
