The Scheme As part of their ongoing growth they are now looking for a Construction Delivery Manager to join and lead on the construction of a key development in Birmingham. The scheme is set to transform a growing neighbourhood in central Birmingham with a state-of-the-art affordable housing project. The development will bring 481 new, high-quality homes to the area, with 55% designated as affordable housing through shared ownership and social rent. The Role As a Construction Delivery Manager you will take the lead in the delivery of an NEC or JCT contract project as the client nominated Project Manager. You will be able to understand the administration of the contract and lead the project and Main Contractor to the successful delivery. This is a key role in delivering outstanding Quality, Customer Service and growing the business' commitment to sector leading Health & Safety. You will have a deep understanding of RIBA stages 2 to 6, and will be able to guide a project from the design phase through contract award and delivery, ensuring that the project is effectively managed, aligns with business objectives, and reflects the required costs, income, funding, schedule, and quality standards. Responsibilities include; Oversee the compilation and management of Design and Build, and Construction management contracts Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and promote the organisation as a developer of new homes Use appraisal software to assess and monitor project financial performance Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including Local Authorities, Developer Partners, Solicitors, Consultants, and Contractors/Developers Take the lead in managing and delivering projects, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards Proactively manage and mitigate project delivery risks, champion H&S/ZIP standards, and maintain high Health & Safety standards on-site Manage and support the team, including external contractors, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery Prepare accurate reports for internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with Group policies and regulatory requirements Liaise with relevant parties to ensure snag and defect-free project completion and positive customer experience The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a highly skilled and self-motivated individual with a proven track record of construction delivery for residential-led projects in either the RP or private sector. You will play a key role in shaping the success of the Delivery team, bringing forward opportunities and delivering new homes that allow our client to make a step change towards the achievement of its ambitious targets.
