An Operations Manager with experience of working in a Project-led environment is sought by a Tyneside based Engineering company
As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing daily activities and maximising productivity, particularly in project deliveries, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and scope.
Current projects are technical automation projects and vary from simple delivery projects to complex software/ hardware development projects and vary in duration from months to several years.

Summary of position: Effective, efficient and excellent operational delivery of all projects and contracts whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and health & safety standards.
Professional line management of all operational direct reports ensuring high levels of staff competencies and training are maintained, aligned with consistent engagement with clients and supply chains to deliver operational excellence.
Strict compliance and adherence with the relevant form of contract on all contracted work undertaken.
You'll provide support to the Head of Operations and be a key part of the Operations Management Group along with collaborating with other department leads and senior management to develop projects and programmes.
Along with line management responsibility for the Project Management Office team comprising of Project Managers and Project Administrator you will take ownership of the PMO plan, processes and procedures and overall project governance and standards.
The Project Office Manager is accountable for the management of the day-to-day activities in the Project Management Office.
The role would suit someone with strong organisation skills, and who has maybe undertaken Senior Level Administration or Operations duties within a fast paced environment.
