The Head of Procurement will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities and leading a large team of Procurement professionals, taking overall responsibility for managing supplier relationships whilst developing strategic sourcing initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in FMCG manufacturing procurement management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies.
The role involves preparing budgets, evaluating supply chain quotations, and implementing supply chain engagement strategies.
As a Mechanical Estimator you will be based in the head offices in Northampton, the individual will oversee and coordinate prime cost production for all mechanical tenders, ensuring competitive and accurate costing.
The Mechanical Estimator will also be responsible for developing win strategies, managing tender submission documents, and liaising with commercial departments to review proposed terms and conditions.
You will be required to deliver an efficient and professional allocations service, ensuring the council's Housing Register, allocation of accommodation within the council's own stock and nominations to partner registered provider vacancies are administered in accordance with the Council's Housing Allocation Scheme (policy), service procedures, national code of guidance and housing legislation (Part 6 of the Housing Act).
