Empowering Learning are currently working with a Special School in Chessington/Kingston who are looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants for a variety of day-to-day, short term and long term bookings.
It takes a very special person to work with pupils with learning difficulties.
Special Needs Teaching Assistants support students with special educational needs (SEND) in the classroom as directed by an SEND teacher in order to help pupils succeed with their learning.
The students at this school have a range of needs so a passion for supporting people with additioanl needs would be ideal You'll work closely with them in different classes like swimming, music, art, and sports.
The job starts now or anytime this term.
This role is about helping special needs students one-on-one with their words, talking, hand-eye skills, and making friends.
Working within SEN is incredibly rewarding but requires out of the box thinkers who are able to see beyond the labels of disability and uncover each child's potential and love for learning.
Within Schools, you will work with four broad categories of need: Communication and interaction, Cognition and learning, Social, emotional and mental health difficulties and Sensory and/or physical needs.
