We are looking to recruit 4 x Housing Advisors to work in a very busy environment who must have experience of repairs and have used Northgate system.
This role is the first point of contact for our residents, and covers service areas including repairs, leasehold, rents, estate facilities and general customer enquiries.
They need to be energetic and enthusiastic people, who are committed to positively managing resident expectations and providing consistently brilliant customer service, over the phone.
To be responsible for a range of tenancy management duties and be a visible presence with residents on our estates.
Ensuring tenants are well cared for, neighbourhoods are clean and safe and resident satisfaction is high.
To be part of a team delivering a high quality, consistent, flexible, value for money comprehensive service to tenants including, new tenancies and tenancy changes interviewing service users and dealing with general enquiries.
To provide a comprehensive accommodation based support service to vulnerable adults and young people living in the singles hostels which form part of Camden's Adult and Young People's Pathway ensuring that they are enabled to develop the skills and abilities to move through the pathway to independent and settled accommodation.
Service users present with a range of support needs including mental health, drug and alcohol, domestic violence and offending behaviour.
Work flexibly to deliver a tenure blind wholesome people and place offer for residents in Housing for older people and specialist housing ensuring the needs of the wider community are met.
Work effectively individually and as part of a team, to achieve service outcomes and actively contribute to the development and smooth running of the service in accordance with local policies and legislation.
Provide high quality and comprehensive support to the service user to empower rhw to plan, work towards and achieve their outcomes.
To provide an efficient, person centred, information, advice, guidance, intervention, assessment, assistance and practical support service to residents, enabling them to make informed choices in relation to their housing needs and signpost as necessary.
To undertake initial triage assessments to identify support and housing need for clients who may be vulnerable with complex needs.
The role
To act as the first point of contact for clients and others presenting to the service.
Tenancy Management: Manage tenancies from start to finish, including sign-ups, transfers, and terminations, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
General
As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you will play a vital role in managing our properties and ensuring our residents receive excellent service.
You will be the first point of contact for residents, addressing their concerns, managing tenancies, and working to improve the overall quality of our neighbourhoods.
An experienced Housing Options/ Prevention/Homelessness Assessment Officer who can hit the ground running working with minimal supervision on a working with offenders and prison releases, candidate will be expected to be part of the Housing Options duty Service, completing assessment, and carrying out prevention and relief work.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate they have practical experience of delivering in a pressurised Housing Options Services and is manage the multiple demands and pressures of the service.
And managing a varied caseload Knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act and other relevant legislation and statute is required along with experience of carrying out homelessness enquires, casework and drafting s184 decision letters.
Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness to internal elements of residential buildings in addition to the external areas within the parameters of an estate.
Camden's Caretaking Service plays a significant role in Housing Management's ambitions for creating and maintaining a safe community/estate to support the health and wellbeing of residents.
The role supports this by providing a visible presence and trusted service in the delivery of a flexible, responsive high quality caretaking service on our housing estates and the small number of street properties who receive this provision.
