About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Environmental Health Officer with a solid background in the housing sector to join our dedicated team.
This role focuses on maintaining and improving residential housing standards by managing a varied caseload, including complaints related to damp, mould, overcrowding, and more.
Responsible for assessing and determining the day-to-day placement of homeless households and applicants into emergency temporary accommodation, matching requirements to suitable properties.
This role requires the postholder to provide advice and liaise with B&B landlords and TA proprietors on council procedures and policies.

Tenancy Management: Manage tenancies from start to finish, including sign-ups, transfers, and terminations, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Provide visible, accessible housing management services on the ground to customers renting homes, owner occupiers and shared owners in the borough.
General
Manage the pre-void function (checking in, and checking out process) promoting the Brent Housing Management brand and create the best experience to new and prospective customers.
To provide an efficient, person centred, information, advice, guidance, intervention, assessment, assistance and practical support service to residents, enabling them to make informed choices in relation to their housing needs and signpost as necessary.
To undertake initial triage assessments to identify support and housing need for clients who may be vulnerable with complex needs.
