The Senior Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that the company secures the best quality products at the most competitive prices. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes. Client Details My client have had huge growth plans in place, and are now looking to add additional heads to their procurement team They are passionate about learning and development, and invest heavily in wellbeing of employees Description Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order issuance. Implement best practices in procurement to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their procurement needs. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities. Analyze spending patterns and develop cost-saving initiatives. Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and systems. Stay updated with industry trends and innovations to enhance procurement practices. Profile Ideally you will come from FMCG Manufacturing and be used to fast paced environments High spend and significant project sourcing experience is advantageous Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
