Procurement & Supply Chain Manager – FMCG
Derby – 5 days onsite
£45-55k DOE
Would you enjoy setting up a procurement function from scratch? Do you have strong experience in supplier and contract management?
I'm exclusively supporting an FMCG business based in Derby to recruit a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager. This is a brand-new role for the company – so you'll have full autonomy in driving and implementing procurement improvements.
They're a successful family-run SME, so you'll be working alongside a close-knit team that are passionate about their product and all pull together in the same direction.
You'll also have access to their flex-hours policy. So, if you're someone who has school drop-offs/pick-ups for example, you'll have the flexibility to complete the required hours around your home life.
Day to day you'd be involved in:
- Managing circa £30m spend across goods and services.
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts.
- Analysing supplier performance and market research.
- Centralising the procurement function.
- Supplier relationship management.
- Assisting with forecast and planning supply requirements.
Requirements:
- Contract management and negotiation skills.
- As you'll be setting up the function from scratch, you'll need to be someone who isn't afraid to ask questions.
- Stakeholder management skills will be vital, but having the confidence and drive to be inquisitive and find out information from all areas of the business is important.
- Having exposure to an ERP system implementation is a bonus, but not essential.
- Competency using MS Excel will be needed.
- Ideally, you'll have come from an FMCG/distribution background. That being said, we're open to receiving applications from similar fast-paced environments.
