Finance Manager We are seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to provide transactional and reporting support to our Finance Director. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong financial background, preferably with experience in the transport, waste, or logistics industry, although this is not essential. The position is office-based, with a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday. Day-to-day of the role: Reconcile general ledger and support purchase and sales ledgers. Assist in preparing month-end financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries. Guide other departments to ensure spending aligns with budgets. Advise on the financial implications of business decisions. Manage treasury activities to assist with cash flow. Report and analyse financial performance, contributing to business planning. Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers. Liaise with other departments to contextualise finances and accounts. Monitor and evaluate financial information systems, suggesting improvements. Implement financial policies and ensure adherence to internal financial controls. Required Skills & Qualifications: Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualification by experience. High level of numeracy and ability to explain complex financial information clearly. Professionalism and commitment with excellent communication skills. IT proficiency and project management skills. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, able to work with all levels of staff. Analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to work.
