Our client, a forward-thinking not-for-profit organisation, is currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor to join their HR team.
The Employee Relations Advisor will use their ER expertise to support people managers with all aspects of employee relations and will be responsible for dealing with and investigating a range of complex ER cases.
Responsibilities for the Employee Relations Advisor
Provide advice and case management across the organisation for disciplinary, grievance, and formal capability/performance, long-term absence and AWOL issues, working in accordance with employment law, best practice and people policies and procedures.
The Employee Relations Advisor will play a pivotal role in managing a range of ER issues (some complex), providing expert advice and guidance, and promoting a positive working environment.
This role is perfectly suited to an individual passionate about employee relations and who wants to work for a FTSE 250 business, who puts their People Plans and agenda at the core of their business

Reporting into the People Advisor Lead, the People Relations Advisor will play a pivotal role supporting HR Managers, Area Managers, Store Managers, and employees by providing expert advice and support on a range of employee relations matters including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance improvement and absence management.
About the role... We are currently recruiting for a People Relations (ER) Advisor to join our People Relations team based at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall.
This is an essential role working cross-functionally to provide HR advice, support, and assistance to our Retail and non-retail teams following Company policies, procedures, and best practice.
The purpose of this role is to provide first line ER advice to our colleagues and assist line managers in understanding, and optimising our processes, policies and procedures and supporting them through the process.
You will be required to form trusted relationships with managers and stakeholders across the group.
This role will be on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
The Employee Relations (ER) Advisor will provide first line HR advice and support to employees and managers and will be the first point of contact for providing efficient, responsive and reliable advice for all general HR enquires.
The post holder will be required to identify, action, and follow up on queries of an internal and external nature-requiring expertise, knowledge and analysis of any problem and knowing when to escalate to the Senior ER Advisors.
The post holder will have complete autonomy for managing their own time and diary commitments and lead on the management of complex sickness related absence cases for the organisation.
