Your new role
Within this post you will manage, process and update the internal system, make payments to Foster/Kinship Carers, update/set up Children/Young people's placements and update/process children looked after (CLA) notifications.Working alongside Social Workers, Supervising Social Workers and Foster carers, you will be required to take a lead role in the day-to-day matching of in-house foster placement vacancies.
Southend City Council are looking to appoint a full-time Senior Fostering Placements Officer to join the fostering service in a 12-month fixed term capacity.

Act as point of contact for the application and selection process, including dealing with initial enquiries, filtering applications and organising assessments and applicant interviews.
General
Reporting directly to the Education Manager, the postholder will provide key support to the scholarships programme, from day-to-day administration to promote the scheme and manage the selection process, to liaising with programme scholars and alumni as well as programme partners, other key stakeholders and the Department for Education.
The Education Project Officer will support the next phase in the delivery of the programme, offering an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who is passionate about education and the opportunity to make a difference to young people's futures.
