About the Role The External Communication Manager will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies to enhance the ENGIE's public image, manage media relations, and engage with external stakeholders. The role can be based anywhere in the UK but aligned to ENGIE offices in London where you may need to work from a couple of days a week. This permanent role reports to the UK Head of Corporate Communications and will be responsible for developing and delivering an external communications strategy for ENGIE UK. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement external communication strategies that align with ENGIE's goals and objectives Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, respond to media inquiries, and proactively pitch stories to generate positive coverage. Produce high-quality content for press releases, media kits, blog posts, social media, and other external communication channels. Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all external communications and maintain the company's voice and tone. Engage with various external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and the community, to foster positive relationships and enhance the company's reputation. Plan and manage press conferences, media briefings, and other public events Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. This role has a starting salary of £23,576 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week. This role is a 24-month fixed term apprenticeship opportunity. We're excited to be hiring a new Level 4 Public Relations and Communications Apprentice within Surrey County Council's Corporate Communications team. Our headquarters is Woodhatch Place in Reigate, but we work from multiple locations across the county. This job also allows you to work from home and occasionally out and about across the county with at least 2 days in an office per week. You'll first go through an induction period allowing you to get used to the office and the team. As your qualification comes to an end and you begin to turn your eye to the future, we have a fantastic support programme in place that will put you in the best position to take the next step on your exciting career journey. If you do not hold an English and Maths GCSE graded A-C or 4-9, you will be required to complete these in addition to the apprenticeship in order to achieve the apprenticeship qualification.
