Communications Officer

The Communications Officer will deliver a first-class range of communication activity and play a key role in the delivery of key strategic communications, campaigns and engagement across varies channels.

Please note hybrid working is available for this opportunity.

The successful candidate will have experience of working on a variety of communication activities, specifically within the public sector and will have the ability to manage their own workload, juggling competing priorities to meet deadlines.

Working on a number of creative projects at one time, you will ensure all communication is evaluated to show impact by creating, managing and monitoring plans and providing quantifiable data to track the success.

  • Develop creative ideas and editorial across all forms of communication
  • Write effectively for a range of audiences and communication channels from the web and social media platforms
  • Have an awareness of news agendas both locally and nationally and react accordingly
  • Assist with routine media enquiries
  • Compile, analyse and produce market intelligence on the most effective communication channels
