Main Purpose of Post
The overall purpose of the Team Manager role is to ensure that the work of the team is correctly focused, within the policy and procedural frameworks of the council, and is consistent with the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks in their service area.
The Team Manager should ensure that there is a calm and ordered approach to the work, with team members working collaboratively to improve the lives of children and young people.
The Team Manager will undertake assessments, determine care packages/support plans and manage a range of the most complex caseload to maintain or improve the well-being of children and young people.
Plan, deliver, and oversee referral interventions for a complex caseload and where appropriate review cases.
Liaise internally and externally and work with colleagues from other agencies to ensure children and young people's interests are supported.
