They are seeking an Account Manager to join their team in Failsworth. This role offers up to £35k per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be part of a newly created team tasked with generating growth from its core customer/distributor base and their well-known products already in the market. This role is a blend of account management (UK focused), marketing support and will also provide back-up for the customer service team. What you'll do: As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our client's growth strategy. You will be responsible for managing key accounts within the UK market, developing strong relationships with customers, identifying new opportunities for growth within existing customer bases, and delivering effective marketing strategies. Your role will also involve providing backup support for the customer service team when required. With your proactive approach to achieving budget targets and your ability to deliver accurate financial forecasts, you will contribute significantly to our client's success. Contribute to the forecast of UK Core Product portfolio into the short, medium and long-term Commercial strategy of the business Liaise, negotiate and help distributors/customers with the selection of Core Products based upon commercial and technical aspects Develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with UK customers Work closely with the Account Management and Business Development team to identify new segments or areas of unmet need within the current UK customer base Deliver timely and accurate communications, including monthly forecasting, budget variation analysis and solutions Drive the execution of the marketing plan as directed by the Commercial Director, including Digital Marketing, Social Media updates, agency liaison and conference preparation Proactively work towards the achievement of the UK customer in-year budgets and forecasts and advise of latest financial position, risks and opportunities Plan and prepare UK forecasts and budgets, pipeline tracking and ensure that profitability, volume, and budget objectives are achieved What you bring: The ideal Account Manager will bring a wealth of experience in a commercial or sales environment, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop influential relationships within a client base. Your strong relationship-building skills will extend to working effectively with other members of the Commercial Department as well as wider departments in the business. With at least 2 years' experience in relationship-based sales within a technically led industry, you will also understand marketing principles and digital marketing execution. Experience within a Commercial or Sales environment with prior ownership of sales targets Ability to communicate professionally and develop influential relationships within a client base Strong working relationship skills with other members of the Commercial Department as well as wider departments in the business Commercially intelligent, curious, and progressive mindset At least 2 years' experience of relationship-based sales in a technically led industry (12-18-month sales cycle) Understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing execution CRM literate What sets this company apart: Our client has a rich heritage spanning over 90 years, during which they have consistently stayed ahead of competition through high levels of energy and innovation.
