Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Surveyor to join our team.
This role involves providing a comprehensive professional surveying and technical service to diagnose, specify, design, and facilitate a wide range of building repair works and adaptations.
You will ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory and local legislation and meets all departmental key performance requirements.
My client is looking for a Building Surveyor on a temporary basis for an initial 6 month contract with a view to extend beyond this, as they look to cover a vacant post in their team combined with an increased workload.

£350 - £450 per day Umbrella
The Role
Assist in the running of Disposal Portfolio and Asset Disposal Programme of its surplus assets supporting the preparation of information and reports to ensure governance is satisfied to dispose of surplus assets.
Experienced / qualified building surveyor to carry out full property surveys specifically in relation to condensation & damp diagnosis.
The surveyor will have specific knowledge of building structures and how they contribute to the cause, be able to correctly diagnose & specify remedial requirements.
To understand and be able to use equipment to aid with diagnostics and undertaking seasonal monitoring.
As our Building Control Surveyor, you'll work within our Building Control team to provide expert level opinion and support across a wide range of construction projects.
Through this key role in building regulation and public advice, you'll help us reach our ambitious construction objectives for Westminster, taking us closer to our 'City for All' vision.
The role is a high profile and challenging position that will give you the opportunity to work across a variety of dynamic projects.
Experience managing legal disrepair cases - Ideally have a surveying qualification (not essential) - Good understanding of damp and structural issues - Social housing experience (not essential) - Managing works from specification through to post inspection - Organised and proactive - able to manage their own calendar and caseload - Largely office based - There is use of pool cars
