Our client is busy Local Authority based in the South West of England, and they are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead two of their Development Management Area Teams for a contract role.
You will act as the Lead Officer and Manager for two of the four Area Planning Committees, leading the two teams of officers focused on delivering high quality development.
You will be responsible for supporting the team to ensure the effective delivery of planning application assessments, including the management of appeals.
Development Manager duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to:
A leading House builder have a requirement for Development Manager to join their Land and Development team based in West Yorkshire.
Working closely with the Land Director you will be responsible for the pre-construction land and planning process on projects where they are preferred bidders overseeing all legal, design and planning issues along with coordinating with the estimating, mobilisation and construction teams.
The postholder has responsibility for addressing tenancy and estate issues in their allocated management area.
To proactively manage a dedicated area of approximately 700 Council properties, including general needs, Independent Retirement Living (IRL), temporary accommodation and leasehold properties.
Act as the lead officer and manager for two of the four Area Planning Committees leading the two teams of officers focused on delivering high quality development in Somerset.
The postholder will report to the Head of Service, will deputise for the Service Manager Development Management and will be required to ensure that the service performs to an excellent level that meets national/legal requirements and responds positively to transformational change and the expectations of a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
