Your new company and role This new contract role is with a major organisation in Scotland's public sector. The client for this role is based in Edinburgh. An experienced software engineer is required to provide hands-on technical leadership to an agile development team seeking to leverage document processing and ML to realise new automation opportunities for the organisation. The role will be 6 months initially with likelihood to extend beyond due to the scope of the client's work. Main objectives Develop an automation service based on the findings from prior Research & Development. This service will leverage OCR and NLP analysis of deeds in order to build the rule set to safely deliver automation results. Develop system components to support deed OCR, NLP analysis, signature detection and title change prediction on the RoS AWS serverless platform Robust data analysis to verify and improve system behaviour Provide high quality support of the operational service. What you'll need to succeed Significant commercial experience with the following technology: OCR and lexical analysis techniques, including NLP (Spacy) and ML AWS including: CDK, Serverless (Lambda), S3, API Gateway, Cloud Formation, Aurora/Postgres Python/Typescript Cloud monitoring, telemetry, intelligence tools and processes, including Grafana.
