The school aims to offer an inclusive system of excellence will seek to re-balance and improve educational provision for all children and young people with SEND, including those currently in mainstream schools and resource bases or in other alternative provision. About the role: The school will interview successful candidates internally, with temp to perm contracts being offered. The start date will be the first week back after the October half-term. Successful candidates will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who has a passion for ensuring all pupils achieve their potential. The teacher will be responsible for pupils aged within the secondary age phase with profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties and autism. The class follows a pre-formal and semi- formal curriculum, incorporating learning, therapy and heath needs and is supported by an experienced team of Teaching Assistants. The successful applicant will also be expected to be a key member of a curriculum team. The role will include; Planning and preparing lessons Working 1-1 with pupils who require additional support Prepare and adapt general teaching materials for children with special needs Check and assess students' skills and performance and provide feedback for improvement Ensuring the pupils are engaged and safe while on campus Being a positive and proactive addition to the school Working with Long-term Teachers: We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
