Audit Senior / Audit & Account Senior - SUPERB ROLE McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a highly regarded Accounting Firm who are looking to grow their Audit & Accounts function and recruit two Qualified or Part-Qualified ACA/ACCA Audit & Account Seniors for their growing Leicester team. Reporting to one of the Audit Managers, you will be responsible for: Preparing and reviewing audit work papers, along with drafts of financial statements Completing on-site client audits, testing specific controls/processes and highlighting any weaknesses and risks Ensuring all audit engagements are in compliance with auditing standards and internal procedures Assisting with audit fieldwork on client sites including liaising with other internal departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the Audit programme. Producing Management Accounts & Statutory accounts for clients, drafting sections of the reports for Managers Completing VAT returns, submitting to HMRC along with client payroll information Addressing and discussing with clients any technical accounting issues identified during the course of client work Delivering expertise across primary accounting frameworks (UK GAAP or IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters Ensuring all audit engagements are in compliance with auditing standards and internal procedures Identifying areas requiring improvement in client business processes and providing recommendations Developing other junior auditors in the team by on the job training and helping with their work To be considered for the roles you should be a fully or part-qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant, ideally with previous Accounts & Audit experience in a small/medium or regional accounting firm, used to preparing accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and undertaking audits for Owner Managed Businesses. You will have experience working in a team environment on multiple audit clients, building relationships with clients and internal management teams, and being able to prioritise and work to strict deadlines. On offer is a salary to £45,000 for Senior and £32,000 for Semi-Senior grade, depending on relevant experience with benefits including 24 days holiday, healthcare, pension and ACCA study support (where required).
