To thrive in our consultancy, you must be a passionate Mechanical Engineer motivated by solving complex transmission and driveline solutions at component and system level by design and/or analysis and simulation methods.
Do you enjoy working on fast-paced projects, applying your engineering skills to a wide variety of technologies and applications and challenging yourself every day?
You will have a demonstrable background of design and/or analysis and simulation of precision rotating components, structural components and complete systems, where you have shown high levels of initiative and attention to detail whilst managing yourself and others to tight deadlines.
Lead a multi-disciplined investment team in the project setup and option selection phase of the Network Development Process for a portfolio of customer investments for the GB Electricity Transmission System in support of the investment driver.
As an authorised engineer, lead the development and costing of connection offer proposals and feasibility studies for Customer related investments.
Undertake engineering works to ensure least cost, fit for purpose and safe delivery solutions are prepared in accordance with the initial phase of the Network Development Process that deliver the business' regulatory, stakeholder and customer commitments.
This position would be working on an exciting project within transmission and distribution.
Shorterm are currently looking to recruit a Structural Engineer on behalf of their client who have offices in Teesside, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham.
