Required for a September 2024 start, we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support students in our alternative provision, based within a mainstream secondary school.
This position would suit an individual who is supportive and is able to challenge students to achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive 'can do' attitude and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

Starting as soon as you are available, this role will be long-term, but you will have the opportunity to secure a permanent role with the school following a successful introductory period with Reed Education.

Take a lead role within the school to address the needs of pupils who require particular help to overcome barriers to learning resulting from deafness, under the direction of the Head teacher and Hub Lead.
Your role will involve working with the class teacher, SEND team and Teacher of the Deaf to deliver agreed programmes and track progress keep records and provide feedback to assist in developing the 'Assess, Plan, Do, Review' cycle for children with additional needs.
To apply, you should have experience of supporting deaf pupils as well as a BSL signing qualification at Level 2 or above.
