Our vibrant primary school partner is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Classroom Assistant to join the team in September 2024. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in children's lives and is committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment, particularly for pupils with special educational needs across Key Stages 1 and 2.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with lesson preparation and delivery, ensuring materials are ready and accessible for all students.
- Provide one-on-one support to students with various learning needs, helping them to engage with the curriculum.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Support the development of students' social skills through guided interaction and play.
- Participate in school meetings and professional development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- GCSE/Level 2 English and Mathematics to Grade C
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach to student learning and well-being.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
