Starting as soon as you are available, this role will be long-term, but you will have the opportunity to secure a permanent role with the school following a successful introductory period with Reed Education.
As a Teaching Assistant in a specialist school, no two days are the same and you expect to undertake the following duties day-to-day:
- Prepare activities and learning materials under the supervision of the teacher.
- Work inside or outside the classroom with individuals or small groups.
- Adapt the level of support given, according to the needs your pupils.
- Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare. Reporting any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead.
- Support the class teacher, to create a stimulating environment for students with additional needs (Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Learning and Cognition Needs).
Hours of work are 08.30am until 15.15pm, Monday to Friday and term-time only. Take full advantage of the school holidays with this term-time only role, perfect for work/life balance and other commitments!
