The Business Development Manager position for the Northern territory holds a crucial role in the execution of the company's commercial strategy. The primary focus will be to gain specifications and proactively solution sell the Ibstock (Developer) portfolio of Brick, Brick Components, Walling Stone and Cast Stone. The role is also responsible for lead generation on Roofing and Flooring Solutions by engaging with key stakeholders within the housing developer market. The key to your success will be in the identification, implementation and management of commercially viable opportunities, increasing the depth and breadth of influential relationships within the developer sector at a regional level, and the execution of account sales strategies. The role will report to the National Business Development Manager; however, the successful applicant will be required to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in the commercial team, cover a wide range of product categories and collaborate on opportunities with the wider Ibstock salesforce. As our Business Development Manager, you will: Deliver increased sales and improved profitability through product specification and proactive sales activity. Act as the key contact between the company and the territories customer base in order to exceed customer expectations Promote all products into Housing Developer customer base which are in line with the company sales expectations Develop new and existing customer relationships in order to maximise the full potential of all accounts within the territory Develop and manage a strong site pipeline in order to achieve sales targets Continually review sales data in order to support commercial activity whilst embracing emerging technologies to maximise opportunities within the sales cycle Work collaboratively with other colleagues to maximise cross selling opportunities and support internal business functions Be accountable for the creation of Joint Business Plans (JBP), with key customers in order to ensure sustainable value and market share growth Ensure that first class standards of operation (including, CRM reporting) are consistently achieved In order to be successful in this role, we would ideally like you to be/have: Aroven track record in construction product sales Negotiation and account management skills The ability to use relevant computer applications and to think creatively, analytically and commercially.
