Role overview: My client is a Industry Leading Civil Engineering Contractor. Their mission is to be the leading service provider in the Water and Wastewater Infrastructure sectors in the UK. They are currently seeking Site Engineers & Section Engineers for a major water infrastructure framework in Southern Wales. As the Site Engineer / Section Engineer you'll need to act as the technical support on a construction site for subcontractors and operatives. Set out, level and survey the site. Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations. Ensure that all materials used, and work performed are in accordance with the specifications. You will oversee the selection and requisition of materials. Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project. Carry out day-to-day measures and help the site supervisor recording daily works. You will be responsible with the PM for producing ITP's and keep control of quality of site. Prepare reports as required. Raise any unexpected technical difficulties and work closely with the Project Manager. Requirements: Do you have great communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, such as construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers? Are you organised and have a methodical approach to work? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills? Are you accurate with great attention to detail? Have you gained knowledge of relevant construction health and safety legislation? Do you hold a full driving licence? This is essential for this role. Are you confident with AutoCAD? Are you knowledgeable with GPS and Total Station? Can you offer support to graduates? Qualifications Degree or HNC/HND in a construction-related or engineering discipline.
