This role is pivotal in supporting client reporting and maintaining high standards in service charge management for residential estates, apartment blocks, and mixed-use developments.

The Service Charge Accountant is responsible for managing, reviewing, and reporting on service charge accounts for a portfolio of properties.
This role involves the preparation, reconciliation, and audit of service charge budgets and year-end accounts in line with legal and contractual requirements.

Our Assistant Client/Service charge Accountants support a senior accountant on their commercial/residential portfolio of accounts and are expected to be able to support with all accounting aspects relating to that portfolio.
Responsibilities
Input property service charge budgets, raise charges (service charge, rent, insurance, adhoc charges) and demands to send to tenants/leaseholders.
A role for a Service Charge Accountant has become available in our service charge team based in Birmingham.
The role is to work within the service charge accounts team, preparing and finalising the reconciliations of internally certified service charge accounts to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting full review of service charge expenditure and ensuring all posting errors are identified and corrected and posting journal transfers, accruals and prepayments as required.
