Role Overview
An expanding property services business is seeking experienced Service Charge Accountants to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting client reporting and maintaining high standards in service charge management for residential estates, apartment blocks, and mixed-use developments. We are looking for candidates with various levels of expertise to accommodate our continued growth. Main duties and responsibilities:
- Preparation and Review: Review and finalise service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Client Reporting: Assist in the delivery of timely and accurate financial reporting to clients.
- Billing and Reconciliations: Manage the billing process and reconcile year-end service charge accounts.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve any queries and support the delivery of a high-quality service.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Experience: Proven experience in service charge accounting, with a strong understanding of property management terminology.
- Qualifications: AAT qualified (or equivalent) preferred, but not essential.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, adapting to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
