Working in association with a privately-owned property Investment Company owning a unique portfolio of freehold office, residential, hotel, retail and leisure properties based in London, we are looking to find a talented, proactive Accountant to join their finance team. The position is full-time office based at their prestegious Canary Wharf location; they have a great work/life balance with a relaxed culture and genuine 9-5.30pm hours. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will provide the successful candidate with a great opportunity to utilise and expand their knowledge. The position is full-time office based at their prestegious Canary Wharf location. Role Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for: Preparing management accounts from books of prime entry. Preparing accounting journals. Dealing with intercompany reconciliations. Assisting with year-end audit. Preparing / assisting with the preparation of bank covenant reports. Preparation of VAT returns. Proactively resolving queries. Providing ongoing support for the existing Finance team. Personal Qualities, Skills & Attributes A qualified / part-qualified accountant, strong candidates who are qualified by experience may also be considered with relevant Property backgrounds Accounting experience in a similar role / industry. Possess strong time management skills. Exposure to VAT treatment in property sector. Exposure to Service charge accounting. Possess good IT skills, including Excel (Advanced). Be able to work effectively as part of a team and under own initiative. Demonstrate very good written and verbal communication skills. Be punctual and work efficiently.
