The role: To work for a friendly and successful London based property company who own and manage a commercial and residential portfolio, based in central London and throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
The Principal Accountant has a high degree of responsibility and autonomy for how they approach the workload in their areas: including the design and preparation of working papers and managing audit queries within their areas.

The Principal Accountant works closely with the Chief Accountant and Deputy Chief Accountant to ensure that the Council's financial reporting processes, procedures and policies are pragmatic, fit for purpose, up to date with best practice, and deliver maximum value to the Council
Prepare, examine or analyse accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Develop,implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in South Manchester, who are recruiting for a Rent Accountant on a temporary 3-6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in Rent or Service Charge within a Housing Association.
The position is due to start as soon as possible with an hourly rate of pay of £26.29 - £28.93 via an Umbrella company (dependant on experience).
