Kennedys is looking to recruit a Pricing Analyst to join our Finance team. This position and will support the Head of Pricing to provide the data and information to support the pricing process and analysis of margin realization on an ongoing basis. The analyst will also work with the Business partners within Business Development and Finance, together with the product groups and offices to provide management information outside formal pricing and bid processes. Kennedys has well-developed Finance and Business Development teams that work together to produce pricing information and proposals for RFP's and pitches as well as ad hoc advice to partners. The firm has now grown to such a size that we need more, and dedicated, pricing support. Team Kennedys Finance team support the firm globally producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions and operational support to maintain the high standard of service offered to the firm's internal and external clients. Our Finance team is made up of Group Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Client Reporting and Insights, Finance Systems and Finance Operations (billing, credit control, cashiers, finance database). The UK Finance team is based in Chelmsford and London and support UK and some international operations. Finance has a presence in 18 global offices. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain the rates database to allow benchmarking of rates and identify overdue client rate reviews Give Partners and bid teams support in relation to the pricing of work and client agreements including the provision of modelling scenarios Support the end-to-end matter management process in terms of pricing and client profitability reviews Develop and maintain the pricing governance database including details of where approvals of deals outside of the scope of the pricing policy have been made. Required experience Experience in financial analysis, preferable within a legal or professional services environment Data analysis using Excel and other analytical tools Strong understanding of pricing strategies and methodologies Experience of legal billing practices and financial regulations Experience with finance systems and legal billing systems. Contribute to the quarterly reviews of the Pricing Best Estimate (PBE) process for all Home Products.Own the report production and stakeholder management for the Quarterly PBE sign off meetings as well as monthly performance analysis.Work closely with Corporate Actuarial, Claims and Pricing teams to understand emerging loss development trends to be reflected in the PBE/Claims projections.Work alongside the Modelling team to unlock value through shared data, systems and methods.Take ownership of the data quality to be used in the claims projections and work closely with Data & MI team for timely releases of related data and reports.Review market information to ensure appropriate inflation projections and social trends are used within our Home Products.Strive continuously to improve the statistical validity and efficiency of all modelling, projection processes and techniques.Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriately to this role, in line with the company risk framework. What we are looking for Previous experience in a similar role within pricing / actuarial, specifically with reserving experience.Good understanding of data quality, processing and data visualisation principles, additionally some knowledge within data science would be beneficial.Strong data manipulation skills, knowledge of SAS/Python, advanced excel (VBA, SQL) would be beneficial.
